Visualization

Here is an excerpt from my book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within:

TWO

What is a specific goal that you have? Make a mental “video tape” of you being there, doing what it is you desire. For instance, if your goal is to learn to fly an airplane, see yourself as already having your license. See yourself clearly arriving at the airport, getting into your plane, taking off, and flying into whatever adventure you want to create.

The purpose of this exercise is not only to help you propel the goal into form, but to develop your power of visualization. Therefore, use all your senses. Hear the noise at the airport, the sound of the engine, the sound of the door slamming. Talk to people hear what they say to you. Smell the fuel, the air, and feel the wind blowing, the sun shining, feel the heat of the sun through the window. See the clouds in the sky, the color of your clothes, the patterns on the ground as you look down.

The clarity of visualizations improves with practice. So enjoy the process of becoming more expert and getting more and more detail into your visualizations.
