The Idea of Beauty

Here is an excerpt from my book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within:

However, if I make a beautiful object, such as a red velvet chair, beauty is no longer just an idea, but has manifested materially as a beautiful piece of furniture. The chair, unlike the idea behind it, is automatically limited; that is the nature of a manifestation. Unlike the unlimited, eternal idea of beauty that preceded the chair, the chair is local and exists in only in a few feet of space. If the chair catches fire, this particular manifestation of beauty will “die,” but the idea beauty will still be alive.
