May Almighty God shower you with His blessings and His glory!
I would like to share with you a heart to heart gathering when we celebrated dear Bishop Mendez’40 year anniversary of service in the Lord.
Wow wow wow! I am still giddy inside, with all the wonderful things that happened! The entire room, the entire building was buzzing with the spirit and with so much joy!
Just the fact that the Bishop was alive and well, what a miracle! He was pronounced dead on February 26th, but yet, the Lord brought him back, He needed him to save more souls. His work on this earth was not finished!
From the moment the Bishop and I entered the room, together with our wonderful Co-host Dr. Homan Siman, until the last picture was taken, it was such a joyous time!
Everyone came together no matter what religious background, everyone celebrated together and there was no pride or ego or anything like that.
And that Mariachi band!!! I would have thought that they are the top performing band – such beautiful uplifting music, and so well performed – they sure fooled me! They were all members of the LAPD! Let’s give them a hand again for their heavenly music! Because I feel that music in Heaven has many facets, and there is room for exciting, fast paced music as well.
When Officer Chris Reza sang our beloved National Anthem – the passion, the pride in
our country, I felt so proud to be an American! It resonated in my heart and does even now. I feel so safe and protected – with officers like that we are so blessed!
Of course our MC Bob Jimenez, did a most fantastic job, he kept us on our toes and helped move the program in a delightful way.
The invocations of Rabbi David Baron and Pastor Jeff Gonzalez filled me with deep gratitude and love and continue even now. I am so grateful for their service.
Let’s also remember Elubia, the blessed mother of our Bishop. What a beautiful, humble and special person she is! She had to go through so much hardship, so much pain and agony and had to make so many sacrifices, yet now, she can enjoy the results of her undying commitment. Let’s give her a big hand!
And the entire evening, I didn’t see anyone frowning, no sadness, no anger, not anything negative at all! God pulled us all together and filled our hearts!
