This song is based on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and it's all about Timing.

Turn! Turn! Turn! By The Byrds

"To everything (turn, turn, turn)

There is a season (turn, turn, turn)

And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die

A time to plant, a time to reap

A time to kill, a time to heal

A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)

There is a season (turn, turn, turn)

And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down

A time to dance, a time to mourn

A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)

There is a season (turn, turn, turn)

And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate

A time of war, a time of peace

A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)

There is a season (turn, turn, turn)

And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose

A time to rend, a time to sew

A time for love, a time for hate

A time for peace, I swear it's not too late"

Dr. Tae Yun Kim teaches about Timing and how there is a time for everything.

I experienced that today. I needed to take my car in for service but without an appointment, the wait is usually 2-3 hours. So I just tightened my belt (figuratively speaking) and prepared myself mentally to get some work done while I waited.

When I arrived, to my happy surprise, there was only 1 other car in the service lane. When I asked the service advisor, he said my wait would only be 45 min to an hour! Yahoo!

About 15 min later, cars started lining up...

Whew!

I had come at the right time!

Have you ever experienced when you did something that just was at the right time?

I started to think about Timing and how my spiritual teacher, Dr. Kim teaches about Timing.

When I had my LASIK eye surgery in 1998, I had asked Dr. Kim for the best date and she selected a date (using Ki energy), and my surgery was totally successful! By the next morning, my vision was at 20/20 or better! Even my left eye that had been 20/1000 was at 20/15! I had been worried because the thought of surgery on my eyes made me nervous, but I trusted Dr. Kim.

In contrast, a woman I knew had a sister that did the exact same surgery on a random date (i.e. She didn't ask Dr. Kim for advice on a good date)... You can't imagine the problems she had... To start, the laser had a hiccup, stopped midway and got stuck so they had to abort the surgery. They had to wait 3 months for the cornea to heal before they could try again.

3 months later, they tried again. Something else went wrong and as a tragic result, she ended up being legally blind!

It was a clear example to me of knowing the right timing. I don't really know "how" Dr. Tae Yun Kim does it... She's a Great Grandmaster!

She knows how to pick the right timing for many things. So I go to her for advice for critical things in my life. Even the right time to buy a car!

So before you do that major surgery or make a huge life changing decision, stop and think about the timing... And ask yourself, wouldn't it be great to know the right timing for this?
