My Mentor, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches us to, “Celebrate Every Living Breath as if it were your last.”

Those words resonate with me because the truth is, now is the only moment that is guaranteed.

We can hope for tomorrow but tomorrow is not a given.  About 151,600 people die each day, 6,316 people die each hour and 105 people die every minute. That’s a perspective to reflect on. Even though it may sound depressing, more so, it should be eye-awakening.  Let’s not waste our time and dilutes our minds with stress or worries. Let’s not sweat the small things but instead, have a satellite view of how we are going to recognize the beauty in our lives.

Have you stopped for a moment to feel your heart beating?

Have you reminded your loved ones how much you really care about them?

We are so blessed to wake up, today. Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim always reminds that each day is a gift. We can live our life to the fullest and regretless.

I admit I took my life for granted. I became easily frustrated and impatient when things don’t go my way. I put my goals on hold with the subconscious mind that I will be young and live forever. I wasted time on meaningless things. I am not proud of this, but recognizing that life can change in a moment, instills the message in me that I need to value every moment. If you can relate, I challenge you to make your every breath counts, too!

Life can change in a blink of an eye. While we can, let’s celebrate and experience every breath with appreciation.

One, Count our blessings

It is easy to complain, and want what we don’t have. By doing so, we become bitter and unmindful of the blessings given to us. Learn to value and appreciate what we have, especially the people around us.

If it would help, grab a piece of paper and a pen, start writing down all your blessings. Don't be surprised to find out the long list of important things we bypass every day and the small things in life that truly counts.

Two, Be compassionate

Life is too short to hold grudges. Be quick to forgive and ask for forgiveness.

Three, Make a Bucket List

Set yearly, monthly or daily goals that you would like to accomplish.  Have a blast while achieving it one at a time and crossing it off your list.

Four, Live your life

Forget the "what if’s" Go out there and experience life: the good, the bad, the struggles and success! There is much to experience out there in our life journey! Go after your dreams and goal and don’t let anything or anyone hold you back!
