Open Your Awareness

Here is an excerpt from my book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within:

You can do a similar type of concentration throughout your day by deciding to catch yourself in negative thinking and replace the negative thoughts with some kind of positive affirmation. This is particularly useful, for instance, when you are trying to heal some physical condition. Your concentration throughout the day may be to deliberately turn your thought away from the pain (or away from the appearance) every time it enters you mind. Such a discipline does wonders to eliminate something that has gained momentum in your life solely because of your attention to it.

You can also do the same type of meditation described above without concentrating on anything in particular. Your simple intent of wanting to open to the awareness of your Silent Master and to experience its light, peace, and silence is a refreshing and energizing meditation.
