He Can Do, She Can Do, Why Not Me!

Self-Awareness

In the pursuit of success, it is natural to look outward—for new opportunities, better strategies, and stronger results. Yet the greatest resource you will ever possess is not outside of you. It is within you.

The question is: how deeply do you truly know yourself?

You may be clear on your goals and disciplined in your actions. But do you understand your patterns, your reactions under pressure, and the full extent of your potential? Success is not created by action alone. It is created through awareness.

Many people believe they know themselves simply because they have lived with themselves their entire lives. But when we look deeper, that certainty begins to fade.

Do you understand how your body works?
How you respond when things don’t go as planned?
What drives your habits and decisions?

Even physically, most people are surprised by how little they know about themselves.

In my Seven Steps to Inner Power book, I explain that your body is supported by 206 bones, that even your face contains dozens of intricate muscles, and that your circulatory system stretches nearly 100,000 miles—enough to circle the Earth four times.

When people realize this, they often pause and say, ‘Wow… I don’t really know that much about myself.’And that moment is powerful because the moment you recognize how much more there is to understand about yourself is the moment true growth begins. Most people live on the surface of who they are. But when you begin to look deeper—into your body, your mind, and your inner potential—you awaken a new level of awareness. This awareness is the foundation of your inner power. And once you begin to discover it, your life, your actions, and your results will never be the same.”

Success is not just about what you do, it is about how you think, respond, and show up every day.

  • When challenges arise, do you stay focused or become overwhelmed?
  • When setbacks happen, do you adapt or avoid?
  • When opportunities appear, do you step forward or hesitate?

These patterns shape your results. Without awareness, people repeat the same habits and limitations without realizing it. But with awareness comes choice—and with choice comes change. As you begin to understand yourself more deeply, everything shifts.

You become more intentional.
More focused.
More disciplined.

You stop operating on autopilot and begin making decisions with clarity. You realize that many limits were not real—they were simply unexamined beliefs. This applies to every area of life.

Whether you are learning, working, or building something new, self-awareness helps you grow with purpose. It allows you to recognize your strengths, improve your weaknesses, and move forward with confidence. The better you know yourself, the better you can direct your life.

Start simply:

  • Pay attention to your patterns.
  • Be present in your actions.
  • Challenge your assumptions.
  • Stay open to learning.

Success is not only about reaching outward goals. It is about discovering what already exists within you. Focus on becoming more aware. Because when you truly know yourself, you unlock a level of success that has always been there.
